Job title: Compliance officer (French speaking)
Location: Malta or Leeds
Overview of the role:
In our Compliance Officer role, you will be responsible for the co-ordination, development and embedding of the compliance framework within our French license. The role can be based in Malta or Leeds.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.
What you'll do:
You can expect to get involved in:
Perform monthly monitoring following the Risk Assessment of the French license
Undertake operational compliance reviews of applicable regulations, acquiring evidence of compliance ensuring that they are in line with policy, working with internal partners on any areas of non-compliance and generating regular and routine reports on the same to management.
Ensure the Matrix remains up to date by inputting the findings of the monitoring activity and ensuring any new or changes to regulations are reflected.
Coordinate license renewals / audits for the license.
Build good relationship with the internal and external stakeholders.
Advising on the compliance requirements for our French gaming license.
Working closely (showing flexibility, strong communication skills and being a teammate) with the business verticals to ensure full support in launching new products/features/promotions in compliant manner.
Co-ordinate compliance in relation to products, strategies and operational processes and procedures, working with management.
Be able to take directions and priorities tasks as required by the business and license requirements as per management instruction.
What you'll bring:
Must be proficient in English and French with excellent comms skills, both written and verbal.
Well organized, able to plan and prioritize work schedules and individual tasks.
Motivated, hardworking, able to manage self and other tasks to meet required deadlines.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Experience conducting investigations and/or auditing.
Previous online gaming industry background
Good understanding of the online gaming and awareness of current global issues affecting online gaming.
Good presentation/training skills.
Prepared to undertake international travel on an ad hoc basis.
Good to have:
Experience of interpreting and applying legislation or regulation within a company context.
Experience in compiling information for regulatory returns.
Experience of working with regulators, external auditors and inspectors.
Exposure to work in a large organization and the ability to interact with partners at all levels, would be great.
Experience gained in a professional services business such as a law or accounting firm.
