Job Summary

We are seeking an analytical and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team at MED Equus Ltd. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and streamlining the financial operations of our company. This position involves managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, assisting with data entry, and ensuring accurate financial reporting using various softwares.

Part-time & permanent position. Pro-rated salary for 27.5 hours to 30 hours per week. Pro-rated 25 days of annual leave per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of daily payments using Zoho books.
  • Managing cashflow via the three accounts through weekly report covering: debtors through daily credit control, identifying trends and putting clients on stop if required, creditor payments with suppliers, and optimising open account terms with clients.
  • Post supplier invoices for stock accuracy and payments.
  • Managing currency exchanges via Convera and trends to pay suppliers.
  • Post annual leave on outlook calendar.
  • Maintain Zoho books in line with CRM for customers.
  • Cash flow forecasting on the 1st of the month using assumptions.
  • Monthly management accounts, profit & loss, balance sheet, trends including gross profit, net profit, ratios, stock, debtors, creditors by the 15th of the following month.
  • Liaising with our accountants for payroll.
  • VAT preparation on a quarterly basis.
  • Zoho Analytics for previous quarters and forecasting.
  • Year-end reports.
  • Help produce budgets.
  • Phone support when needed.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in industry, practice or a financial services environment.
  • Minimum AAT Level 3 or QBE.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Zoho is highly desirable.
  • Experience with multi-currency transactions and accurate journal entry postings.
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and general accounting principles is advantageous.
  • Ability to submit accurate VAT returns.
  • Ability to product accurate management accounts.
  • Good interpersonal skills - with the ability to provide concise financial information into the Managing Director, as well as other departments.
  • Strong data entry skills with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy of our accounting systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively within deadline.
