ICT Service Desk Officer

First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Service Desk Officer to join our team on a permanent basis to help us deliver excellent IT support to colleagues across the organisation.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm in our friendly and collaborative office in the centre of Oldham.

The impact you'll make

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for all ICT-related incidents and requests from colleagues. You'll play a key role in keeping our systems running smoothly, resolving first line calls, managing assets and ensuring everyone at FCHO has the tools they need to succeed.

You will:

• Manage the ICT Service Desk Portal, triaging and escalating incidents in line with ITIL standards.
• Respond to colleague enquiries and provide high-quality 1st line IT support.
• Oversee processes for new starters, leavers and role changes.
• Setting up and managing ICT assets and user access.
• Support routine system tasks and ICT projects
• Maintain accurate records and produce operational performance reports.
• Collaborate with the wider ICT team and third-party suppliers to deliver efficient, customer-focused services.
• Take ownership of the ordering process for ICT

Our ideal candidate:

You'll be customer-focused, technically skilled, and passionate about delivering excellent IT support. You will also have:

• ITIL Foundation qualification (or be willing to achieve within 12 months).
• Strong knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile phones) and Microsoft 365 (including Admin Centre, Intune, Entra ID, and Exchange Online).
• Experience working in an ICT support function, ideally using a service desk management system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 11, and email/web protection tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritise and innovate.
