Role Description

This is a remote role for the position of Legal Trustee at Global Policy Network. The Legal Trustee will play an integral part in providing governance, oversight, and advice on legal and compliance matters impacting the organisation. Responsibilities include advising on governance practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, reviewing legal documents, and supporting contract negotiations. The Legal Trustee will also work closely with other board members to uphold the organisation's mission and support strategic initiatives.

8 hours a month
 to the GPN Foundation and will be interviewed ASAP to start in the position by mid-December.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in legal compliance, governance, and contract review
  • Preferably, experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Preferably, interested in global health policy, nonprofit regulations, and international law
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and management strategies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience serving on a board or in an advisory capacity is preferred
  • Commitment to the principles of health equity and sustainability
  • Law degree and relevant certifications are required
