BRC Theme Coordinator
About the role
The Cardiovascular Medicine Theme brings together a world-leading and innovative research programme from across the University and NHS to address the burden of cardiovascular disease, and has sub-themes focusing on developing novel therapeutic targets, improving prevention and management, and addressing maternal cardiovascular risk.
The Imaging Theme collaborates closely with several other BRC themes, strengthening research through the use of cutting-edge imaging tools. As the BRC Theme Coordinator, you will take a leading role in managing theme activities and interactions, supporting upcoming new initiatives, as well as playing a pivotal role in coordinating the upcoming bid for future funding.
You will act as the primary liaison between the BRC research theme and the theme investigators across university departments and Oxford University Hospitals. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement streamlined approaches to communication and data collection to support the theme activities, and assist with the monitoring and management of theme OxBRC budgets.
About you
You will be educated to degree standard and hold strong interpersonal skills, alongside proven experience in managing budgets. You will be self-motivated and hold exceptional organisational and time-management skills. Evidence of a proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach to work is also essential. Familiarity with the conduct of clinical research in a University or hospital environment will be an advantage.
This post may be appointed at either a Grade 6 or Grade 7 level, depending on experience. The supplementary selection criteria for Grade 7 appointments include possessing experience of coordinating funding applications, alongside experience of managing high value research grants.
Applications for this vacancy must be submitted online. You will be required to upload a CV and a supporting statement outlining how you meet the selection criteria for the role.
Please note that only applications received before 12:00 midday on 2nd December 2025 can be considered. Interviews are scheduled to take place on 10th December 2025.
