About us…
We are passionate about delivering innovative cloud-based retail software and payment technology to charities, retailers and visitor attractions across the UK and Australia. Our Insight Driven platform provides real-time processing and complete end-to-end retail and payment management, helping organisations operate smoothly, enhance customer experience and grow with confidence.
With over £1 billion in sales processed through our systems in the last year, customers trust Cybertill for reliability, security and exceptional support. With nearly 25 years' experience and more than 7,000 retail locations using our software, hardware, payments, services and telecoms, we know what it takes to make a difference. We live our values every day, staying passionate, agile, supportive and professional in everything we do.
Work somewhere where your passion and ideas come to life and, more importantly, get you noticed. Get ahead and join a team that supports you and drives you forward every day.
The Role…
Our customers and their consumers deserve the best retail experience. We are looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to promote our card payment solutions, qualify opportunities, prepare quotes, and take prospects from first contact through to closing the sale.
What you will do…

- Record accurate and detailed prospect information in HubSpot, ensuring data quality at all times.
- Make outbound calls to new businesses, respond promptly to inbound enquiries, and manage your own pipeline of prospects.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable Cybertill payment solutions, communicating key product features, benefits and pricing when appropriate.
- Use telephone, email, LinkedIn, and AI-powered tools to consistently engage with prospects and promote our payment solution and other services.
- Take full ownership of the sales cycle from initial engagement to closing the sale.
- Follow up on marketing-generated enquiries and email campaign leads in a timely and professional manner.
- Act as a key member of the sales team, supporting colleagues, handling incoming calls, and contributing to a positive, high-performing environment.
- Maintain accurate records, update HubSpot regularly, and manage your own diary to maximise productivity and exceed weekly and monthly targets.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to promote campaigns and support sales initiatives across both charity and retail sectors.
Who we are looking for…
- Knowledge or experience of card payment solutions, merchant services or payment processing would be a strong advantage.
- A target-driven sales professional who is motivated by earning potential and determined to succeed.
- Experience using HubSpot is preferred, but strong proficiency with any CRM system is also acceptable.
- Someone confident and experienced in making proactive outbound cold calls, with the ability to build rapport quickly and influence decision-makers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail when dealing with a wide range of businesses.
- An individual who can establish and maintain professional relationships to ensure accurate, up-to-date prospect information.
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills, able to manage workload, pipeline, and priorities effectively.
- Personable, approachable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Someone who enjoys a challenge, learns quickly, and can adapt to new tools, products, and processes.
- Evidence of previous success in lead generation, sales qualification, pipeline development, and closing deals, such as meeting KPIs, contributing to revenue, or converting leads into customers.
