Overview

This position involves preparing machinery for dealers and customers as part of a dynamic team of technicians at the Manitou UK headquarters in Verwood, Dorset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying product knowledge and utilizing technical tools to complete assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic aspects.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor in communications with internal staff, dealers, and customers.
  • Completing tasks assigned by the Workshop Supervisor within set deadlines.
  • Providing support to the Sales, After-sales, and Marketing departments as requested.
  • Collaborating with the Workshop team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Assisting with the unloading of machinery from shipping containers when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the capital equipment market, particularly in mechanics, hydraulics, power, and electrical systems.
  • Experience in the repair and maintenance of construction, agricultural, industrial, and aerial work platforms.
  • Ability to execute time-sensitive tasks with professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to various situations.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of motivation and diligence for multitasking and maintaining accuracy.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Formal training in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent to NVQ level 2.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Base Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
