About the role

Health Innovation East is an independent company limited by guarantee. It is governed by its Board, which has collective responsibility for the company's performance. The Board is led by an independent Chair, to whom our non-executive directors and the executive director (CEO) are accountable. It plays a critical role in shaping our strategy, vision and purpose and holds the company to account for the delivery of our strategy and objectives. The Board is also responsible for ensuring that the strategic risks to the organisation are managed and mitigated effectively.

Health Innovation East is now seeking 
up to two exceptional individuals to join our Board
. One of these will be as a non-executive director, and we may appoint a further individual as an associate non-executive director. Associate non-executive directors fulfil all the duties of non-executive directors but, whilst they will be senior individuals with substantial experience in their chosen fields, they may not have had previous experience at Board level. All successful candidates will bring their strategic and/or executive expertise to Health Innovation East as we grow our influence and our capacity to support the adoption and spread of innovation in healthcare across the East of England.
