We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The position involves working with modern tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment, providing essential support to our customers and ensuring their vehicles are in top condition.
Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
Read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, and assembly instructions accurately
Carry out welding and other fabrication tasks as required for vehicle repairs or modifications
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle service
Assist with the assembly of new vehicle parts or components when necessary
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during the repair or replacement of large parts or assemblies
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and advising on maintenance procedures
Requirements
Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role with a strong mechanical knowledge base
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and assembly diagrams
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or part replacements
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
