Grasslands Nursery is looking for a hands-on, organised and energetic Fulfilment and Quality Control Manager to join our busy nursery team. If you love keeping operations running smoothly, enjoy leading a small team, and take pride in making sure customers receive top-quality plants and products, this could be a great fit.

You'll oversee our dispatch area, making sure every order leaves the nursery accurately and in excellent condition, and support a small team of 5–6 to deliver a great service every day. It's a varied, active role with plenty of responsibility, and you'll be right at the heart of our customer experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and supporting the dispatch team day to day (around 5–6 colleagues)
  • Overseeing the picking, packing and loading of vans
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure all products meet our standards
  • Making sure orders are dispatched on time and accurately
  • Monitoring stock and feeding back any shortages or issues
  • Keeping the dispatch area tidy, safe and well organised
  • Working closely with Sales and Nursery teams to resolve any order queries
  • Supporting continuous improvement: better processes, smoother systems, happier customers

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a fulfilment, dispatch or operations role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident leading a small team and helping others succeed
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, practical environment
  • Ability to prioritise, stay calm under pressure and problem-solve quickly
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to roll your sleeves up
  • (Horticultural knowledge is a bonus, but not essential. We can teach you.)
