Our client, a highly respected UK law firm, is seeking a driven Corporate / Commercial Senior Associate to lead on complex matters, mentor junior talent, and play a pivotal role in the continued growth of their Chelmsford office. This is a chance to join a progressive team where your expertise will be valued and rewarded.

The Role: Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of corporate and commercial transactions with minimal supervision

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior lawyers, supporting their technical and professional growth

  • Advise on private equity, M&A, and commercial contracts (exposure to banking matters advantageous)

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor

  • Utilise technology and best practices to ensure compliance with Lexcel and regulatory standards

What We're Looking For: Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 6+ years' PQE in corporate and commercial law

  • Proven experience managing complex matters independently

  • Track record of supervising and developing junior team members

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

  • Technical expertise in private equity, M&A, and/or banking matters (desirable)

  • Experience working in a UK law firm environment
