Job Description

Purpose of the role

To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. 

Accountabilities

  • Management of change projects within the organisation, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Development and management of project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.
  • Communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure that they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met.
  • Management of project teams, ensuring that they are properly resourced and that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.
  • Management of project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget.
  • Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.
  • Facilitation of change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

  • OR for an individual contributor, they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments. They will identify new directions for assignments and/ or projects, identifying a combination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Join us at Barclays as a Change Delivery Manager – Finance, where you'll lead high-impact programmes across regulatory compliance, tax initiatives, and strategic Finance transformations such as Cost Transformation, Digitised MI, and Gen AI. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards, supporting the Finance portfolio's most critical priorities.

 

To be successful as a Change Delivery Manager – Finance, you should have experience with:
 

  • Very Strong Project Management disciplines – Management of Business and Technology Teams, Development and management of project plans, and project artefacts to ensure effective delivery.
  • Strong Stakeholder engagement, able to build effective relationships and be a very clear and confident communicator.
  • Strong Financial Skills to manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget.

     

Some other highly valued skills may include:
 

  • Have managed projects that include Data Acquisition, Data Consolidation, Analytics and Reporting.
  • Managed projects in Banking or Financial Services is desirable as is within Finance, Treasury Technology.
