Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a solid background in hospitality or restaurant management. Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of kitchen staff and front-of-house team members
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality standards are maintained
  • Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies
  • Organise team schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to optimise productivity
  • Ensure excellent customer service by supporting serving staff and addressing customer concerns promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas
  • Assist with food production during peak times to meet customer demand
  • Train new staff members on operational procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
  • Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is desirable
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of shop operations
  • Relevant culinary or hospitality qualifications are advantageous but not essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.36-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
