This is an excellent opportunity for a Tax Senior to join a respected practice in London, taking ownership of your own portfolio while supporting managers and partners with more complex assignments.

The Firm

This established independent accountancy and advisory practice provides audit, accounts, tax, and corporate finance services to a wide variety of clients, from ambitious owner-managed businesses to large corporate groups and high-net-worth individuals. Known for its collaborative and people-focused culture, the firm offers structured progression, professional development, and opportunities to get involved in interesting advisory projects.

The Role

As Tax Senior, you'll deliver high-quality tax services to clients across both corporate and personal tax. You'll manage your own portfolio, support junior colleagues, and gain exposure to advisory work alongside compliance responsibilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns, computations, and supporting schedules.
  • Preparing personal tax returns for directors, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Assisting managers and partners with tax planning and advisory projects, such as remuneration planning, reorganisations, capital taxes, and succession planning.
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients to resolve queries and manage correspondence.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for your client portfolio, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the tax team.
  • Keeping up to date with tax legislation changes and ensuring clients receive accurate, timely advice.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Be ATT and/or CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA with strong tax experience).
  • Have previous experience in a UK practice environment.
  • Possess solid technical knowledge of both corporate and personal tax compliance.
  • Ideally have some exposure to advisory work (though not essential).
  • Be confident managing your own portfolio and working directly with clients.
  • Be proactive, organised, and motivated to progress in your career.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
