We are seeking a highly passionate and L6 qualified careers advisors to work at various schools in North West and North London. This can be for immediate requirements or from September 2026.

We are a team of advisors working in various regions across England. Alongside our one to one guidance offer for schools, we also provide a range of award winning products support schools and colleges careers programmes.

The position is a freelance role, working for The Careers People. For 2025/2026, the position is for one day per week, term time only. The day is negotiable. We potentially have another contract working two days per week in another school in Watford, as well as a short term contract. We will have more information on this in Sept 2025.

You must have a level 6 careers guidance qualification, have experience of running one to one sessions with students and be passionate about helping young people to create a life they love. All of our advisors are free to use their professional judgement to select which tools and techniques to utilise with each student they work with. We encourage the use of creative guidance techniques.

Students are at the heart of everything we offer and our advisors are at the heart of our business. Although this is a freelance position, we are a close team and provide several benefits. We have a summer team day, Christmas meal and a fab internal training programme... As well as an active WhatsApp group where we support each other. Being a freelance advisor doesn't have to be lonely

The pay for this role is £225-£245 per day depending on whether or not the school opts for a break time drop in sessions. The FTE salary breakdown is: £225 x 5 days per week = £1,125 per week. £1,125 per week x 39 weeks of the year = £43,875 (FTE £58,500).

You will have an enhanced DBS check (ideally on the update service) or the willingness to complete one. You will be required to evidence annual safeguarding and PREVENT training, we can provide links to online training if required.
