An established, high-growth energy services business is looking for a
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
to join the Board and lead its next phase of commercial growth.

As CCO, you'll own the full commercial agenda –
New Business, Client Services, Strategic Accounts, Marketing and Sales Operations
– and play a central role in shaping strategy, proposition and market focus.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the
    commercial strategy
    , defining and delivering a cohesive plan aligned with the company's long-term growth and impact objectives.
  • Own and evolve the
    go-to-market approach
    across priority sectors, services and new propositions.
  • Lead
    New Business
    to identify, qualify and convert high-value opportunities and build a strong, sustainable pipeline.
  • Oversee
    Client Services and Strategic Accounts
    to drive excellent service, retention, upsell and cross-sell.
  • Direct the
    Marketing function
    to ensure a unified, data-informed and differentiated brand presence that supports demand generation.
  • Build robust
    Sales Operations
    – forecasting, pipeline management, performance reporting and CRM optimisation.
  • Act as the
    commercial voice on the Board
    , providing insight, KPIs and market intelligence to the CEO, CFO, investors and other stakeholders.
  • Champion a
    high-performance, impact-oriented culture
    across all commercial teams, with the client at the heart of everything.

What you'll bring

  • Significant experience as a
    Head of Sales & Marketing, Commercial Director or CCO
    operating at Board level in a B2B services environment.
  • A track record of
    delivering growth at a relevant scale
    , ideally in energy, utilities, built environment or technology-enabled services.
  • Experience leading
    multi-disciplinary commercial teams
    – new business, account management, marketing and sales operations.
  • Strong background in
    complex, consultative sales
    , with the ability to hold senior client relationships and lead high-value negotiations.
  • Experience developing and commercialising
    technology-enabled solutions
    and/or integrated service offerings.
  • Comfort working in
    high-growth or transformational environments
    , with the energy and resilience to navigate structural and operational change.
  • Confident, clear and concise communication style, with the ability to influence at Board level and inspire teams.
  • Ideally, familiarity with
    UK and European energy markets and regulation
    (desirable, not essential).

Location & working pattern

This role is
Bristol-based
, with regular interaction across UK offices and client sites. Hybrid working is expected, with a meaningful presence in Bristol to work closely with the CEO and wider leadership team.
