About the Role
We are looking for reliable, professional, and hardworking Delivery Drivers to join our 2-man delivery teams. You will deliver high-value sofas and furniture across the UK, set up items in customer homes, remove old furniture when required, and handle all products with care.
This role also requires content creation, including recording videos, capturing customer testimonials, gathering home footage, and providing marketing content during deliveries.
Drivers must be able to speak clear English to communicate effectively with customers, handle instructions, and create usable video content.
This is a physically demanding, customer-facing, and content-focused role where quality, communication, and professionalism are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery, Installation & Customer Service
- Deliver sofas and furniture safely, professionally, and on time.
- Set up sofas in customer homes when the service has been purchased.
- Remove old sofas when requested.
- Communicate clearly and politely with customers.
- Explain product features or handling instructions if needed.
- Protect customer property (walls, door frames, flooring) during delivery.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent the company professionally.
- Handle customer concerns calmly and report issues to the office immediately.
- Ensure clear, professional English is spoken at all customer interactions.
Content Creation & Media Responsibilities
- Record high-quality videos inside customer homes showcasing the product.
- Capture before-and-after footage, lifestyle shots, and room setup content.
- Create testimonial videos with customers (with permission).
- Take photos and videos for marketing and social media use.
- Follow content guidelines provided by the marketing team.
- Label and upload content correctly at the end of each shift.
- Ensure every delivery includes at least one usable piece of content.
- Communicate well on camera and provide clear English narration when required.
Handling, Assembly & Product Care
- Lift and manoeuvre heavy items safely with a driver's mate.
- Assemble sofas and components correctly using appropriate tools.
- Unbox, build, and position furniture neatly.
- Photograph deliveries for documentation and proof of installation.
- Inspect items before leaving the customer's home.
- Handle products carefully to avoid damage.
Vehicle & Safety Responsibilities
- Complete daily vehicle walk-around checks before starting your route.
- Ensure the van remains roadworthy, clean, and fuelled.
- Report any defects immediately to management.
- Drive safely and protect company vehicles from damage.
- Follow all road laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Take legal breaks and adhere to driving time regulations.
Route Planning & Time Management
- Follow the delivery manifest and route schedule accurately.
- Use navigation systems safely and responsibly.
- Manage time efficiently to complete all deliveries within shift hours.
- Inform the office immediately about delays or access issues.
Stock Accuracy & Loading
- Load the van correctly with the driver's mate for the next day's route.
- Check items against delivery paperwork.
- Secure items properly to prevent damage in transit.
- Report missing, damaged, or incorrect stock immediately.
Cash Handling
- Collect cash securely from customers when required.
- Return all cash to the manager at the end of the shift without fail.
End-of-Day Duties
- Dispose of cardboard and packaging correctly at the warehouse.
- Unload removals and place them in the designated areas.
- Return tools and equipment.
- Complete end-of-day vehicle checks and handover.
- Upload videos, testimonials, and delivery content to the shared system.
Removals & Waste Management
- Safely remove old sofas from customer homes without causing damage.
- Load removals neatly and securely.
- Follow recycling and disposal procedures at the warehouse.
Communication & Reporting
- Update delivery status through the company's delivery app or system.
- Send proof-of-delivery photos and notes after every job.
- Report damages, customer issues, or delivery difficulties immediately.
- Communicate clearly with the office team throughout the day.
- Speak fluent English when recording video content and customer interactions.
Teamwork
- Work effectively with a driver's mate.
- Coordinate lifting, manoeuvring, and assembly as a team.
- Assist the warehouse team during loading when needed.
- Support the team during busy periods.
Professional Standards
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance.
- No smoking in vehicles or on customer property.
- Follow all company rules, customer service standards, and safety regulations.
- Treat all customers, their homes, and company property with respect.
Flexibility
- Willing to work weekends when required.
- Able to work longer shifts (8–14 hours) depending on delivery routes.
- Open to last-minute route or schedule changes.
Ideal Candidate
- Must speak clear, fluent English
- Previous experience in delivery driving, removals, or furniture handling
- Physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy items
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confident contributing to video content
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Clean driving record
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
