Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, effective communication, and adherence to all safety regulations while driving.

Duties

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Assist in warehouse duties when not on deliveries, including inventory management and heavy lifting.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving a commercial vehicle is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.

Pay: £100.00-£180.00 per day
