The Opportunity:

Nigel Wright Group are pleased to be working with a dynamic and fast-growing Newcastle-based SaaS business in their search for an experienced Business Development Manager. With a market-leading solution and recent product innovations, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth. They offer a collaborative culture, a hybrid working model, and a strong focus on delivering value to a broad customer base across the UK.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the Newcastle city centre office. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving new business growth, managing a healthy pipeline of inbound leads, and navigating complex stakeholder environments to close high-value deals.

Role Profile:

  • Implement a strong and sustainable sales strategy, identifying opportunities and converting leads into sales
  • Manage the full sales cycle from demo to pricing and close, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual targets are met or exceeded
  • Deliver professional, consultative product demonstrations following led discovery calls
  • Develop a deep understanding of target industries to position solutions effectively
  • Engage in outbound activity alongside inbound lead follow-up, supported by a dedicated marketing team
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder sales processes, identifying decision-makers and influencers
  • Attend relevant industry events and networking opportunities to build relationships and generate leads
  • Prepare and negotiate commercially attractive contracts

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a client-facing SaaS sales role
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and influence across multiple levels
  • Strong skills in pricing, closing, and delivering high-quality product demos
  • Professional, proactive, and consultative approach with a clear hunger to succeed
  • Passion for technology and delivering value through software solutions
