The Skylark Federation – Individual Needs Assistant (SEN Focus)
Location: Barcombe CE Primary School
The Skylark Federation is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to join our welcoming and friendly team at Barcombe CE Primary School.
This rewarding role will primarily involve working closely with a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within our Year 2/3 mixed aged class. You will be supporting the child's learning and development by helping to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where they can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
The successful candidate will:
- Work as part of the class team to deliver engaging learning experiences tailored to the child's individual needs and interests.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
- Be patient, compassionate, and adaptable in responding to the child's needs throughout the school day.
- Liaise effectively with parents/carers and colleagues to promote the child's well-being, learning, and progress.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure the successful candidate feels confident in delivering high-quality SEN support. A genuine passion for working with young children and those with additional needs is essential.
