Job Description
At Aberdeen, our ambition is to be the UK's leading Wealth & Investments group.
Strengthening talent and culture is one of our strategic priorities. We strive to make Aberdeen a great place to work so that we can attract and retain the industry's best talent.
Our people put our stakeholders at the heart of everything they do by helping us to make a positive difference to the lives of our clients, customers, colleagues, shareholders, and society.
We are focused on growing our direct and advised wealth platforms and repositioning our specialist asset management business to meet client demand. We are committed to providing excellent client service, supported by leading technology and talent.
Aberdeen comprises three businesses, interactive investor (ii), Investments, and Adviser, each of which focuses on meeting and adapting to our clients' evolving needs:
interactive investor, the UK's second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform, enables individuals in the UK to plan, save, and invest in the way that works for them.
Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.
About the department
The Adviser business at Aberdeen provides support, expertise, and technology for financial advisers in the UK, enabling them to create value for their businesses and clients. This team is committed to a product operating model that empowers teams to be autonomous and accountable, fostering innovation from concept to delivery. We lead the design, discovery, and delivery of cutting-edge digital products and services for Financial Advice firms.
We're committed to a product operating model where teams are empowered, autonomous, and accountable, giving you the freedom to innovate and own solutions from concept to delivery.
Join a forward-thinking team at the heart of Aberdeen's Adviser business, where we lead the end-to-end design, discovery, and delivery of cutting-edge digital products and services for Financial Advice firms.
If you're passionate about delivering real impact, our focus on customer and business outcomes will give you the opportunity to make a tangible difference.
You'll be part of a team that values collaboration, autonomy, and a growth mindset, helping us stay at the forefront of the market as we design digital experiences that supercharge advice firms to delight their clients.
About the role
Reporting to the Product Manager, the Lead Content Manager will focus on ensuring the delivery of content and experiences that support marketing initiatives, product launches, and service support. This includes creating, publishing, measuring and maintaining content that helps advisers and customers engage with our platforms and products effectively. There will be close collaboration with marketing, product and customer service teams as well as working within a multidisciplinary team who will collaborate to deliver on shared objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting delivery of the product vision and strategy as set out by the Product Manager, ensuring appropriate processes are followed throughout the production cycle.
Creating, maintaining, optimising, and retiring content using the Content Management System, ensuring our websites are accurate, up to date, and fully functional.
Upholding digital standards, including managing website quality scores, identifying and resolving technical issues, and working with stakeholders to improve user journeys.
Optimising for search—ensuring the website is optimised for both on-site and external search engines, and that the organisation's online presence remains strong.
Managing a varied workload, from small copy changes to larger-scale projects, while working within SLAs and sprint cycles.
Collaborating with UX/UI designers, content owners, and web developers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Implementing and reporting on web analytics to monitor performance and make data-driven recommendations.
Conducting content audits to ensure our websites contain the most relevant content, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary product team, including UX/UI design and web development.
Participating in a culture of innovation and learning to help Aberdeen remain competitive and responsive to user and market needs, while staying aligned with industry changes and technological advancements.
Researching and evaluating the effectiveness of existing pages using data and insights, working with UX and marketing colleagues to drive improvements.
Mentoring and coaching members of the website team, supporting their professional growth and development.
Championing curiosity and continuous learning—sharing methods, tools, and insights that elevate the whole team.
