Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely food preparation
- Prepare a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster teamwork and efficiency
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and presentation techniques
- Train new staff members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with a strong background in team management and leadership
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Skilled in food preparation, culinary techniques, and presentation skills
- Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills to lead a diverse team and coordinate with other departments
- Experience in restaurant operations, serving, and customer service is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
