Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks necessary for the smooth operation of our medical practice. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients feel welcomed and supported throughout their visit.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is up to date and confidential.
- Process patient registrations and insurance information accurately.
- Handle incoming correspondence, including emails and mail, in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining a tidy reception area.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar role.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour.
- Proficient in using medical software - Emis Web
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- A commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to healthcare regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
