Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and attentive care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's growth and learning during their formative years.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Promote positive behavior management strategies to support children's social skills and emotional regulation.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, routines, and any incidents or concerns.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs.
  • Support children with special educational needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care.
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, intimate self care, nap times, and outdoor play.
  • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards within the classroom environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as nursery, preschool, or nannying is preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices.
  • Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques.
  • Certifications in first aid and child safeguarding are highly desirable.
  • Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diverse needs.
  • Passion for nurturing young children's growth and fostering a love of learning. This position is ideal for individuals committed to early childhood education who enjoy working closely with children and their families in a supportive team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.35-£13.72 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
