An Outstanding Girls' school in Islington is seeking an innovative and engaging Computing Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful Computing Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop strong computational thinking and digital literacy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver stimulating Computing Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering programming, data science, and digital technologies.
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE Computer Science examinations and practical assessments.
  • Foster a creative and problem-solving environment where students can explore the world of computer science.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in computing, providing constructive and informative feedback as a Computing Teacher.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Computer Science or Computing.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching Computing at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
  • A strong and comprehensive understanding of programming languages, algorithms, and computer systems.
