Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our new care facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of senior care, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires effective management of care plans, medication administration, and collaboration with nursing and professional medical staff to enhance the overall well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Lead and manage a team of caregivers and nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in care home operations.
- Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident health and well-being, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff to promote transparency and trust.
- Manage daily operations including staffing schedules, training programmes, and quality assurance measures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a care home or assisted living setting is essential. Ideally having already managed a care service and achieved good in all areas with CQC.
- Good knowledge of all CQC regulations and associated legislation in managing care homes.
- A background in relevant healthcare or nursing qualifications is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage care plans effectively while demonstrating strong organisational skills.
- Experience in medication administration and knowledge of senior care best practices is preferred.
- You will have already been overseeing the daily operations, managing of staff through recruitment and training and handling administrative duties like budgeting and compliance with quality industry standards.
- The role is also responsible for ensuring residents receive high quality, person centred care, acting liaison with families and other organisations and making strategi decisions for the homes future.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- We would ideally like the candidate to have a level 3-5 NVQ in Adult Social Care
