Salary & Package: £50,000-£55,000 + package (will pay more for exceptional candidates)

Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

My client is leading residential property developer with a reputation for building communities across the UK. Due to a strong pipeline of key projects in the region, the company is now looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Central based Commercial Team to support a variety of residential developments.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for:

  • Managing all site development costs to ensure projects stay within budget and deliver strong commercial performance
  • Preparing and presenting accurate cost valuations on a bi-monthly basis to support financial reporting
  • Procuring and managing subcontractor packages, as well as ordering key materials and goods
  • Reviewing and approving subcontractor payments in line with contractual agreements
  • Producing detailed cost and valuation reports to support the wider commercial function
  • Collaborating closely with site teams and subcontractors to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure efficiency

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in the residential housebuilding sector in a similar commercial role
  • HND or degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • Strong negotiation and cost management skills, with an eye for commercial detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficiency with relevant IT systems and cost management software
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites within the region
