Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage teams, and ensure compliance with food safety standards while fostering a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. The Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service, supervising staff, and contributing to the overall success of the venue.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery
  • Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices across all departments
  • Support in training new staff members and conducting ongoing professional development
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to optimise workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to uphold excellent service standards
  • Assist in planning menus, special events, and promotional activities
  • Maintain a clean, organised work environment in accordance with health and safety policies

Experience

  • Proven supervisory experience within a coffee shop / cafe setting
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production
  • Experience in managing teams effectively within fast-paced environments
  • Previous roles involving restaurant or hotel management are highly desirable
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards, including serving and barista experience is advantageous
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of service
