JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a talented and adaptable DevOps Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about both application development and cloud infrastructure, and who enjoys building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. You will play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications and infrastructure.

Additionally, you will collaborate with the Network Operations Team to support and enhance network automation initiatives. This includes developing tools and scripts to automate network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring, helping to drive efficiency, consistency, and reliability across our hybrid cloud environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Software Engineering (Python)

  • Design and develop backend services, APIs, and automation tools using Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc.).
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab.
  • Collaborate with other developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Cloud Engineering (AWS)

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, and CloudFormation.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and cost using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and Trusted Advisor.
  • Ensure security and compliance through IAM policies, encryption, and best practices.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and incident response.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, or EKS).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer).
  • Network certifications (e.g., Juniper JNICS / Cisco CCNA)
