Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and personable Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product merchandising, and supporting sales initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
  • Provide detailed product information and answer customer queries confidently
  • Support merchandising activities to ensure displays are attractive and well-stocked
  • Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system, ensuring accurate cash handling and phone etiquette
  • Maintain organised stock areas and assist with inventory management
  • Foster positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent service

Skills

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Organised with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and stock counts
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles to enhance product presentation
  • Ability to upsell products tactfully to maximise sales opportunities
  • Good organisational skills to maintain a tidy and efficient workspace
  • Professional phone etiquette when dealing with customer inquiries over the phone or in person

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £200.00-£300.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.20 per week
