Centre Of Excellence Culinary Assistant

As a Culinary Centre Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the Culinary Centre, looking after the maintenance of the facilities, monitoring and replenishing stock, hosting culinary events and assisting the Culinary Business Partner in developing food recipes.

The role is based at the Culinary Centre where you will be part of the Sensory & Culinary Team and have the chance to support our Food Design teams to work on some of our iconic cereal and snack brands and support the development of inspiring food samples for food shows.

A Taste Of What You'll Be Doing

• Culinary Centre Management – Own the upkeep and functionality of the Culinary Centre, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and fit for purpose.
• Inventory Oversight – Manage stock of raw materials and ingredients in line with SOPs and daily operational needs.
• Daily Housekeeping – Perform routine cleaning tasks including bin checks, floor care, worktop cleaning, and equipment use to maintain high standards.
• Event Coordination – Manage the Culinary Centre calendar, liaising with internal teams to organise and support events, visitors, and setup.
• Culinary Innovation Support – Collaborate with the Culinary Business Partner to develop inspiring food samples and trend-led recipes.
• Documentation & Compliance – Support with HACCP plans, SOPs, and Ways of Working to ensure regulatory and operational alignment.
• Cross-Team Collaboration – Provide flexible support to Sensory, Food Design, and COE teams to meet evolving business priorities.
• Lab & Supply Management – Order lab supplies and maintain readiness for culinary and sensory activities.

We're Looking for Someone With

• Degree in Food Science or a related field, with relevant industry experience.
• Passion for innovative and creative product development within the food sector.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
• Proactive and results-oriented, with a strong focus on delivering consumer-centric solutions.
