Job Description

Spanish-Speaking Senior Early Years Educator

Join Our Outstanding and Award-Winning Team at Treehouse Nursery Schools, Wanstead

Treehouse Nursery School in East London is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Spanish-Speaking Senior Early Years Educator. As a UNICEF rights-respecting nursery committed to fostering personal, emotional and social growth, we're seeking a professional who shares our vision—and can bring an additional linguistic advantage—to join our team.

At Treehouse, we are proud to be a Rights Respecting Nursery School, embedding the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into every aspect of our practice. We nurture children's understanding of their rights, ensuring they feel valued, heard, and empowered within a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role

As part of our outstanding nursery, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and our sequenced curriculum, fostering children's holistic development.
  • Actively integrate rights-respecting principles into everyday learning, encouraging respect and empathy among children.
  • Use your Spanish language skills to enhance communication with families, support bilingual children, and contribute to a culturally rich, inclusive environment.
  • Work alongside a dedicated group of educators to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
  • Participate in training opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of our practice.

Why Join Treehouse Nursery School?

This role is more than a job; it's a calling. You'll be part of a growing organisation with ambitious goals and a compassionate mission. We offer a supportive environment where you can make a real difference in children's lives, helping us nurture respectful and compassionate global citizens.

The nursery is conveniently located steps from Wanstead Station on the Central Line, with multiple bus routes stopping directly outside the nursery.

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Level 3-qualified educator with:

  • Experience in implementing an Outstanding EYFS framework.
  • A commitment to promoting the rights and voices of children.
  • Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written), with the ability to integrate Spanish into the learning environment when appropriate.
  • Creativity, empathy, and a passion for fostering curiosity and independence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Energy, creativity, and a passion for nurturing young minds.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £29,500 – £31,500 per annum.
  • A collaborative and inspiring work environment.
  • CPD and a culture fully committed to evidence-based teaching and learning development.
  • Opportunities to work alongside motivated and passionate colleagues in a positive, purposeful, and ambitious nursery setting.
  • Access to a leadership mentoring programme tailored for aspiring staff taking on leadership roles.
  • Holiday allowance of 29 days (including birthday leave), plus 3 additional paid days during Christmas and New Year closure.
  • 20% childcare discount.
  • Access to a dedicated staff well-being committee and active staff forum.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
  • Invitations to networking dinners and charity events.
  • A vibrant social calendar designed to foster team spirit and community.

This is a full-time permanent role, offering stability and the chance to grow in an exceptional nursery environment.

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

At Treehouse Nursery Schools, the safety and well-being of children are our top priority. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references.
