– 30 hours per week. Monday – Sunday between 9am – 8pm – 3 long shifts per week.

Here at Practice Plus Group, we are looking for a healthcare support worker to join the team at HMP Altcourse – the busiest remand prison in the country Is it challenging? Yes Is it rewarding…Yes But you will be supported at all times, and you can really can make a difference.

Joining The Primary Care Team, You Will

  • Run clinics on the wings, including bloods and vaccinations.
  • Be involved in care packages, including phlebotomy, venepuncture, ECGs and observations.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Work with the wider nursing team across the prison.

What Do We Need From You

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate.
  • Clinical knowledge – venepuncture, phlebotomy would be a bonus
  • A caring approach, with the drive to help those in your care.
