Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in English, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during their visits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Take patient medical histories and record vital signs accurately.
  • Manage appointment schedules, ensuring efficient use of time for both patients and staff.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records and managing inventory of dental supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and post-operative care instructions.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and improve practice operations.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma.
  • Proficient in IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling software.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in a dental practice is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
  • A passion for patient care and a friendly disposition are essential for this role.
