ABOUT US

We are one of the most exciting strategic corporate affairs and communications advisory firms in the UK. Founded by senior comms professionals from business and government, we advise on complex issues that intersect the worlds of commerce, politics and communities, helping our clients make informed decisions that build and sustain long term value. Having experienced significant growth in client mandates, we want to find and cultivate the next generation of strategic communication leaders.

INTERNING AT ETERNA

Our culture is transparent, supportive and driven to produce the best outcomes for our clients. We are proudly strategic, intellectually rigorous, curious about the world and like to challenge ourselves. There is an informality in the way we interact with each other and flexibility in approach which reflects the fact that we are still growing fast. You will not only develop your commercial awareness and gain a valuable insight into the world of consulting, but also have your ideas taken seriously by senior professionals in the field.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a paid, part-time internship, based in the company's London office.

It's an opportunity to gain experience in a stimulating environment working closely with Eterna's senior consultants on high profile communications projects which touch on issues of trust, business confidence, reputation and current affairs. Our previous interns have said the experience has propelled their careers, deepened their passions, and pushed them to be more rounded and experienced individuals, across their chosen fields. Some of them have secured roles as communications consultants, others have stayed with us to become full time employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Researching and sourcing information related to client projects, sectors, issues and potential new clients; learning how to use media intelligence and other database software; social media account management; management of Eterna Partners databases, media and stakeholder distribution lists; preparing briefing notes for clients; researching and managing forward calendars of key media and current affairs events relevant to designated clients; helping to draft press releases, opinion articles, website copy, background material; engaging media and parliamentary stakeholders, helping with events; general account service and Eterna Partners administration.

ABOUT YOU

An undergraduate, post-graduate student or a recent graduate, in the fields of management, media and communications, politics, history or economics or a related social sciences subject.

A person interested in the complex intersection between society, business, government, and the media.

A strong interest in news, current affairs, and business is required. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required, and knowledge of social media usage and analytics would be an advantage.

Candidates should be media literate, curious about the world and interested in how strategic communications can deliver commercial value.
