Graphic Designer/Content Creator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graphic Designer/Content Creator to join our marketing team here at Battles.

Battles started in 1832 and is an award-winning manufacturer and leading provider of all of the major animal health, equestrian and pet care brands worldwide. 193 years later, we are still going from strength-to-strength and are continuing to carve our name as the first choice equestrian wholesaler.

You will be responsible for working with the marketing team to roll out various creative projects. We are seeking a creative individual who is a versatile visual storyteller who can conceptualize and produce high-quality graphic designs and creating/editing engaging video content. The ideal candidate has a various creative skillset, a strong eye for design/editing, and the ability to bring ideas to life across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Creating and editing various new content to promote our large range of products via print and digital design such as brochures, (motion) graphics, vlogs, eshots, reels etc.
• Production of vlogs to develop an equestrian YouTube channel as well as managing supporting cross media marketing for this profile, plus equestrian fashion products and lifestyle across all forms of social media and advertising.
• Helping with developing products through making new product specifications, checking and updating these when required.
• Support the in-house Photographer with editing imagery and creating/editing video content, both studio and off site.
• Delivering impactful and innovative designs/content that elevates the brand or support a campaign.
• Should be comfortable with creating own concepts and content, as well as interpreting creative direction/briefings from team members and working as a team.
• Keep up to date with trends, design, social media, best practices, developments and competitors.
• Maintain communication, accuracy and attention to detail throughout.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio on various designs including graphic design and video editing/creation.
• Video/Image editing skills would be an advantage.
• Strong graphic design skills.
• Demonstrable videography skills and experience. Drone operation desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge working with the Adobe Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
• An interest into the market which is changing fast-paced, to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments.
• Multi-tasker that can respond to changes quickly and prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Abilities to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Able to work within multiple brand guidelines to ensure consistent brand look and feel across all media.
• Relevant qualification to degree level would be an advantage.
• Self-directed, self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Equestrian knowledge preferred but not essential.
