Job Summary

We are seeking a part time Cleaner to join our team and maintain high standards of cleanliness across site, supporting our office, general facilities and carrying out some areas of support for shop floor areas not easily accessed by the operational team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are hygienic, organised, and presentable, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.

Prior experience in cleaning in an operational factory is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to delivering quality service in a professional setting.

Location- our factory is located in Hitchin, though it is expected that by early 2026 our activities will move to a new site in Letchworth

Duties

Daily & weekly cycle of activities to include

  • Wash baking equipment
  • clean office and staff facilities
  • Use laundry equipment for overalls
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness at entry and exit points

This role does not involve cleaning machinery but will aim to ensure back of house and bakery trays are cleaned regularly

Requirements

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
  • Reliable with a positive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting light equipment and standing for extended periods
