Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Lead and support a small, dedicated team
  • Monitor team activities and support workload prioritisation
  • Analyse attendance data and reports
  • Support schools, support services and members of the public
  • Contribute to service innovation and development

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • Can communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues at all levels.
  • Can prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Are well organised, accurate and resourceful.
  • Have previous experience of working in an administrative role, working in a team and supervisory experience.
  • Have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 standard/ 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above, with good standards of literacy, numeracy and accuracy.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office programmes, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

We're proud to be here for the people of Somerset. And that means everyone in Somerset. An important part of this is ensuring that we are as diverse and inclusive as the people and communities we serve.
