Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are understood and met with exceptional service. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to customer satisfaction and repeat business. Candidates will also book in & out mot`s and vehicle repairs, accept vehicle recovery jobs and allocate to drivers
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport.
- Listen carefully to customers' concerns and accurately record vehicle issues and service requirements.
- Provide detailed explanations of necessary repairs or maintenance, ensuring customers understand their options.
- Upsell additional services or products where appropriate, maximising sales opportunities while maintaining integrity.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle's service and address any questions or concerns promptly.
- Maintain organised records of all customer interactions, services performed, and payments received.
- Assist in promoting our services through excellent customer engagement and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive industry or similar environment.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with vehicle systems is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while prioritising customer needs and satisfaction.
- Competent in cash handling and processing transactions accurately.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
