Finance Planning Lead, Permanent, Fleet, Hybrid, £80k

Sectora Group are pleased to be advertising for a Finance Planning Lead in the Fleet area. The right candidate will be proactive, analytical and tech-savvy while taking ownership of financial planning and data insight within our clients organisation. This position is ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with systems and data and is driven to continually improve processes and reporting.

In this hands-on role, you will build and refine financial models, dashboard and reporting tools that support strategic and operational decision-making. You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial and Operations, providing high-quality insight that adds real value to the business.

Key Responsibilities of a Finance Planning Lead:

  • Build, improve, and maintain financial dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Use tools such as Power BI, Excel, Salesforce, Syspro and other systems to automate and enhance reporting processes.
  • Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
  • Apply AI and predictive analytics to enhance forecasting and insight.
  • Support budgeting, reforecasting and long-term planning through robust modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable financial insight.

What We're Looking in a Finance Planning Lead:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with strong FP&A experience.
  • Advanced modelling skills and proficiency in Excel/Power BI; SQL experience beneficial.
  • Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail.
  • Experience with financial consolidation (including FX).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to prioritise effectively.
