Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse's specialising in Endoscopy to join our healthcare team to support the delivery of Waiting List Initiative sessions at locations in Northern Ireland. For this opportunity we are seeking nurses with valid EPIC training. As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures by conducting pre-procedure assessments and providing education on the process.
  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functioning properly.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels before, during, and after the procedure, responding promptly to any changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all relevant information regarding procedures and patient responses.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans for patients.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment in the endoscopy suite.
  • Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Qualifications

  • Valid registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting; minimum 1 year.
  • For this opportunity you must hold valid EPIC training
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear explanations to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

This role is an excellent opportunity for Registered Nurses looking to expand their experience portfolio.

This role is to support the delivery of waiting list initiative sessions at a location in Scotland and will be on a self employed basis.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: £350.00 per day
