Warwick House is a specialist long-stay home providing high-quality care for children with learning disabilities, autism, complex health conditions, and challenging behaviour. We're seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals with experience of working with children, ideally within a residential, SEN, or care setting. You will receive full training, ongoing support, and opportunities for progression.
Please note:
This is a
24-hour service
, and applicants must be able to work
night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and supervising children throughout the nigh.
- Providing personal care
- Supporting and managing complex behaviours
- Keeping accurate records and communicating effectively
- Promoting independence, dignity, and well-being
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Carrying out light domestic tasks
- Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
About you:
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, complex health needs, or challenging behaviour
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication abilities, including the use of communication aids
- A patient, compassionate approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, professionals, and other stakeholders
- Relevant childcare qualifications are desirable
Compliance:
This role is based in Birmingham so you must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham and have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK.
Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.
If you are successful for this role and as part of our Onboarding process, you will be required to undergo extensive background checks with Experian. This will include Right to Work checks, DBS, Digital CRC, Imposter Checks and Reference checks spanning your entire employment history from when you've first worked with children.
