After School Club Leader (Before & After-School Club Activities)

Hours: 3:00pm – 6:00pm daily or select weekdays (Additional morning hours available)

JC Sports are looking to recruit energetic and enthusiastic individuals to lead after-school wraparound childcare clubs in our partner primary schools. This role involves creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children at the end of the school day. It is not a sports coaching position, though activities can include active games and physical play.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about working with children and can bring creativity and care to each session. There is an opportunity to increase hours by supporting our breakfast club provision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver a variety of engaging activities suitable for primary-aged children.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
  • Prepare light snacks and manage the club setup and tidy-up.
  • Encourage active play, teamwork, and positive social interactions.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.
  • Punctual, reliable, and professional.
  • Confident in managing group behaviour in a fun and respectful way.
  • Able to adapt activities to suit different age groups and abilities.
  • Friendly, approachable, and a great communicator.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience working with children in a professional or voluntary setting.
  • Full driving licence.

Desirable (or willing to train):

  • Childcare qualifications.
  • Paediatric First Aid (Level 3).
  • Safeguarding training.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
