Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service.
  • Supervise and support team members, including serving staff and kitchen personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards across all departments.
  • Support in supervising food production, kitchen activities, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
  • Assist with organising staff schedules, training programmes, and performance evaluations.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with the head chef or culinary team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the restaurant premises at all times.
  • Support barista services or bar operations when required, ensuring excellent beverage quality.

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong team management abilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff.
  • Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers alike.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards, including serving protocols and customer service excellence.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly whilst maintaining professionalism.
  • Experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality who are eager to grow their managerial skills within a supportive environment dedicated to culinary excellence and outstanding service delivery.
