About Us

The Holford Arms is an award-winning country pub, restaurant, and venue nestled in the beautiful Cotswolds near Tetbury. With a strong focus on local produce, real ales, and relaxed but high-quality service, we've built a reputation as one of the area's most welcoming destinations for locals and visitors alike. Alongside our busy bar and restaurant, we host weddings, live music, and seasonal events, as well as offering on-site accommodation including camping.

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar and Restaurant Manager to join our passionate team and help lead The Holford Arms into its next exciting chapter.

The Role

As Bar and Restaurant Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of our front-of-house and bar operations. You'll lead by example, ensuring every guest receives warm, attentive service, while maintaining the smooth and efficient running of shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all bar and restaurant operations
  • Lead, train, and motivate a talented FOH and bar team
  • Manage rotas, stock levels, and supplier relationships
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation across food and drink
  • Support in planning and delivering events and private functions
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and licensing compliance
  • Work closely with the General Manager, Head Chef, and events team to drive performance and guest satisfaction

About You

  • Proven experience in a management role within hospitality (pubs or restaurants preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A hands-on, proactive attitude – you lead from the front
  • Great organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • A passion for great food, local ales, and genuine hospitality
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events as required
