Job Title: NHS Urgent Care Dentist (Sessional Work – Yorkshire)
The Role
We are looking for compassionate and motivated dentists to join our NHS Urgent Dental Care service on a sessional basis. You will be paid for the whole session and are expected to remain on site for the full clinic opening hours. Patients are referred directly from NHS 111, giving you the opportunity to provide urgent care to those most in need. Dentists typically see around 3 patients per hour, though this may be adjusted at the discretion of the service.
Working days and hours:
Saturdays 9am-6pm
every other Sunday 9am-6pm
Key Details
- Employment type: Sessional (part-time / flexible sessions available)
- Location: Multiple sites across Yorkshire
- Pay: Competitive sessional/hourly rate (paid for full session regardless of patient flow)

Requirements
- Full GDC registration and active performer number (essential)

- Confidence in providing urgent treatments, including:
- Extractions (routine and urgent)
- Endodontic access and extirpations
- Management of acute dental pain and infection
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and high-quality care
