Ward F9 at the Wythenshawe site of Manchester Foundation trust are currently looking to recruit a band 6 sister/charge nurse to our day case and short stay surgical ward. This exciting opportunity is open to band 5's that are aspiring to take the next step and learn new skills. Current band 6's and 7's are also welcome to apply to to join our welcoming ward on F9 and learn new things on elective surgery
Our surgical directorate has a reputation for the highest standards of clinical care.
Currently the ward looks after Day case elective and emergency patients, and those needing to stay for an over night stay for 1 night with a surgical speciality of Plastics, ENT, Maxfax, Urology, General surgery, Gastroenterology, Breast and International Radiology.

We are looking for a suitably experienced nurse who is passionate about patient safety and the delivery of exceptional quality care to our surgical patients.
You will be an aspiring leader with the ability to adopt a highly accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives and colleagues. You will assist the Ward Manager with the operational management for the team working on the Ward. You will have the ability to develop a culture of continuous improvement with a particular emphasis on the patient journey and clinical outcomes.
