Applicants must be physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working at heights. All positions are paid, including internships, ensuring fair compensation for your expertise and effort.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and roofing plans to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Repair or replace damaged roofing materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, or membranes
- utilise welding techniques where necessary for metal roofing components
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications using fabrication tools and techniques
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as tiles, sheets, or insulation in accordance with safety guidelines
- Conduct masonry or carpentry tasks related to roof structure support when required
- Work with plumbing or other trades to ensure proper integration of roof drainage systems
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all phases of work to prevent accidents at height or with heavy equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing, construction, or related trades is highly desirable
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and roofing plans
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Strong understanding of construction principles including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and heavy lifting techniques
- Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Relevant certifications in health & safety practices are advantageous but not mandatory
