Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and hospitality, demonstrating expertise in culinary techniques and food safety standards. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximise profitability.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques into menu offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary arts, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Proficiency in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • A genuine passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences.
