Werneth Medical Practice is seeking a productive and proactive Medical Receptionist/ Administrator for their purpose-built practice in Oldham.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, has good communication skills and uses their own initiative.

Main duties of the job

Role Requirements

  • Experience working as a receptionist in medical practice (preferred)
  • Excellent phone manner/ Customer service skills
  • Excellent patient relationship skills and the ability to be calm under pressure
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Proficient in IT
  • Secretary Experience (preferred)
  • Used Emis and Docman 10 (preferred)
  • Training & supervision will be provided for the right individual

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensure smooth running of the reception area
  • Greet all visitors and be the first point of contact for any queries
  • Manage all inbound communications by phone
  • Diary management for any patient bookings
  • Upload patient records into the database
  • Registering new patients and completing necessary administrative tasks
  • Action requests for information to be sent / retrieved for doctors, nurses or other clinicians, and to process prescriptions in line with policy
  • Ensure premises are kept clean and tidy in between visits from the cleaning staff
  • Daily Checks to ensure we are compliant with CQC

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21 per hour
